My sculpture/installations

I make cast sculptures from paper cured in linseed oil with contemporary domestic tools, objects and people. I display these paper sculptures in a way which emphasises the archaeological feel of the work, using light to add drama and resonance. The sculptures' fragmented states suggests a kind of archaeology and piecing together of domestic activity from a bygone era, yet they are cast from current-day implements. My sculptures often allude to the culture of domestic routine and the rituals of hospitality. They engage the still-life tradition from a contemporary feminine perspective.
